Annunciation Catholic School and its faculty and staff are dedicated to developing the whole student through a community experience that stresses solid academics, encourages an active faith life, and follows God’s laws. Students are challenged to learn how to respect the dignity of God’s life, to develop themselves according to their God-given talents, to be aware of the truth of God’s love for all, and to live in God’s faith.

Annunciation Catholic School provides a strong academic program, which focuses on academic excellence and mastery. Teachers create a supportive environment, helping students achieve academic goals through differentiated instruction and research based strategies.  To accomplish this, our faculty is committed to:

Living the philosophy of Cornelia Connelly, the foundress of the Sisters of the Holy Child Jesus, who developed an educational system based on trust and reverence for the dignity of every human being.
Using the Responsive Classroom approach to develop students’ academic and social-emotional skills so they are ready to learn.
Teaching reading through a literature based curriculum in all grades with an emphasis on using the Guided Reading approach in the Lower School.
Incorporating reading and writing instruction in all subject areas.
Providing for hands-on science instruction from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 8.
Teaching in a cross-curricular approach.
Incorporating differentiated instruction so all students have the opportunity to be effective learners.
Participating in field trips to extend classroom learning.
